Sum41.. Sum41...
Ok ok. Being a fan, I suppose I must intro all the members of Sum41.
First, go to my last entry.
Ya, you see four cool guys? Good.
Deryck Whibley: Guitar/Vocals
Cone McCaslin: Bass
Dave Baksh: Guitar/Vocals
Steve Jocz: Drums
Not in any order from left to right or their coolness.
I just came back from Sum41's showcase at Hard Rock Cafe and it was a blast! You can expect the same old usuals, smoke, ang mohs, rowdy people and sweat.
Well, I invited good o' vanessa to join me. Reached orchard, walked around.. Then walked towards Hard Rock, then sat at benches outside the place as we didn't want to appear too desperate to get in. Many people walked past us and we guessed whether they came for the showcase too.
Quite funny. We guess be seeing whoever who 'acts-gay-not-gay', is going to the showcase.
Five minutes before the showcase starts, we went in. Huge crowd there already.
Then vanessa says, "I think I saw samuel."
"Where, where..?"
Then I turned and there is is. Fa fu le. Tsk tsk, never bao yang bao yang.
Aiyah, then anyway we went to stand in the corner. Shy mah, I never come to such places before. Then must act calm knowing that Sum41 coming out soon.
We were so short.. among the ang mohs and the act-cool guys, so stood at a ledge which added inches to our height. But still cannot see anything. And the waitress kept looking at us, cos apparently we were blocking her way. The leadge leads to a dim, stinky kitchen.
But in the middle of the showcase, we moved to the front at the side. Quite a clear view. Except that every few seconds, someone will push past us. You can imagine lah, rowdy crowd.
Oh ya, halfway through, the safety railing almost toppled and a stampede almost happened. I had to admit I was so scared lor. That actually happened in Indonesia before ok, killing some teenage girls while they were screaming for A1...
But overall, the smoke on my shirt, my aching calves, ears and being pushed my sweaty rowdy people is all worth it. The whole show was great. The songs were great. The guitars and drums were great!
I always wanted to hear them sing "Over my head" live. Cone McCaslin is so darn cool. DeryckWhibley is hot. Sum41 actually looks good!
Now I want to see Electrico!
Vanessa, da ben dan says sorry ok. Surely got another chance one. =)
-------------------------------------
Literature "seen" paper today. It was better than I expected. I was flowing with ideas.
And I wrote and wrote till the middle joint of my thumb hurts very badly. But now I'm sure everybody's hand are either blistered or swollen. Two more days and it's all over!
Ok, I'm craving... or addicted... to Macdonalds I don't care. I'm just getting fatter!
No school tomorrow.
I think I will miss school. I'll surely miss the lameness of everybody. Strangely enough, I think everybody has a higher spirit in school. After school, everybody "seh" and feels as if they missed nights of sleep.
-------------------------------------
It's not that I don't hate anybody. It's just that I truly believe everyone has their own faults, including me. I'm not going to talk about my own faults ok. I don't want to stay single forever.. But then not everyone can be perfect. We are made in this way and like they say, leopolds' spots don't change overnight. Er, or something like that lah. So, why should we trouble ourselves with other people's faults? That's what constructive criticisms are for. Our faults make all of us special and there's nobody the same as us in this world. We are special, with our own special set of thinking and our own behaviour which we each percieved as correct.
